Bolinao, Pangasinan

Welcome to Bolinao, Pangasinan

This is my 2nd post break-up travel.
I have only 2.

The first one is in Itogon Hot Spring, Benguet

I was standing in the same spot along the EDSA Cubao,
waiting for the first bus to passed by.

This time, t'was bound to Pangasinan.

The current fare from Manila to Bolinao is P450.
The travel time is 9 hours.

There are few bus liners en route to this destination.
One of them is the Victory Liner.

It will pass the city of Alaminos, the jump off point to the Hundred Island.

I was there back in 2012.

My travel entry: Hundred Island, Pangasinan

I have no itinerary.
I learned this destination through an acquaintance.

I met her few years ago.
She was amazed of the distance and isolation of the beach.

This is an unknown island.

I just saw this along the way and it looks incredible during the low tide.

I walked from the shore to this island for 15 minutes.

Bolinao is a small town.

North, there is a waterfalls.

Central, there is an Enchanted Cave.
The entrance fee is P300.

South, the white sand beaches

From the town proper, I rented a trike.
I told the driver to get me to the end point of Patar beach.

I paid P150? I can't remember,
I was so emotionally tired that moment.

There are Nipa rooms available for overnight stay.
The room rate was P300, good for 2.
Or 1, since I was alone.

There are a lot open cottages ideal for day stay.
Rates vary per resorts

I chose the very far end.

The beach's horizon provides a good sunset view.

I can't find a photo of it.
Did I sleep that afternoon? I can't remember.

I woke up around 3 am the next morning and sat in the sand. Thinking nothing.. feeling nothing.

Later that day, the care- taker told me that he is somewhat sleepy as he was watching me the whole time cause I look like someone who is going to drown herself.

I never thought of dying. I was just essentially trying to survive.

I rented a scooter with a driver to take me to nearby places.

This light house is a walking distance from where I stayed.

Then, we went to this awesome river that is connected to the sea.

I stayed here longer as I was watching a group of children jumping off the bridge.

I'm fond of jumping cliffs, too.
however,
at that moment, I was emotionally tired of doing anything.

Then, chill on this beach before heading to the island.

It was low tide, so intead of renting the banka, I walked.

I had my sunset at the light house.

My meals are served on the resort.

Sometimes, I'm eating at the open cottage, sometimes inside my room or in the dining area.

Onething is for sure, I'm eating alone.

I spent most of my time.. breathing.

I took an evening bus back to Manila.

Total expenses: P2,500
Breakdown
Bus: P450 x2 (round trip)
Trike: P150 (day1)
Accomodation: P300
Meal: P600
Scooter with Guide: P300 (free return)
Some snacks in between: P250

Maybe, there is life after love.. I can only hope.
