Caramoan Island, CamSur

welcome to Caramoan, Camarines Sur

where I spent my 25th birthday on February 2012...

there are 3 ways to reach Caramoan:
1. you can book your flight from Manila to Naga Airport
and ride a van to Sabang Port for 1 hour ride...
van fee is 100.00 php as of February 2012
2. you can hop in Philippine National Railways delux for 660.00 php
or first class around 900.00 php for 12 hour train travel.
It usually departs Baclaran Terminal around 6 pm and arrives Naga at 6 am
and vice versa and take a van to Sabang Port for 100.00 ph for 1 hour land travel..

3. you make take Penafrancia Bus on a delux cabin from Cubao Terminal
itt leaves around 8 pm and goes directly to Sabang Port for 700-800.00 php fare..
land travel takes 9 hours...
And yes! we did this 3rd option!

taken this photo during the boat travel...
just make sure to arrive in Sabang Port in the morning
cause they don't have schedule after 11 am...
boat ride takes 2 hours for 120-150.00 php boat fare..

when we arrived in Caramoan Port we took a 45 minutes trike
going to the town of Caramoan for 50.00 php per person..
you can stay in the town or you may opt to stay in the beach front...

there are a lot of inns and lodges around the town...
you may also packed your tent and stay in this Matukad Island...
we stayed in Villa Julianna Inn on our first day for 800.00 php good for 3 people
with 3 beds and a shower!

time to blow some candle for a surprise treat!
thank you friends :)

we roam around the town...
taking some time in the church and had our simple lunch...
after which headed  to the seaside for a 15 minutes trike on a 50.00 php fare...

take some small walk along the coast...
haggle for the boat ride that we decided to take the next day...
had it for 1,300.00 php for the 3 of us...
good for 3-5 people...

taking some afternoon chill along the coast..
they are building a cafe that time when we passed...
they also inform us that survivor US is having their shooting
on one of the island nearby...

we went back to town for dinner and for the night!
I wake up so early to see the sun rising on this river...
on my 25th birthday...
who could tell I could travel this far...
chasing dreams...

and I thank God for the good tidings ...
praying for blessings for the next days of my life...
amen!

we check out of Villa Juliana after breakfast...
and trike back to the seaside..
for our island hopping adventure!

we check in La Playa Beach Resort...
we rent one fan room cottage good for 2-3 people for 800 php...

then meet our boat men...
for the island hopping adventure!

our first island stop... Matukad Island...
it has a lagoon in the other side which has 2 ancient milk fishes...
one should be able to climb this rocky way to reach the top
to see this view...

we did! it's amazing!

this is the island the US is renting for a couple of years they say...
it looks great but unfortunately were not allowed to drop here...

but there is an island just in front of it that you can stay...
this is our second island stop...
this one looks fair!
I am not really particular with the name so I don't know the name of this island!

the third island where we had our simple pack lunch...

with a little splash! cool

we went back to Matukad Island to spend the afternoon away
chill with the sun...
while soaking in the sand...

we ease the night away in La Playa...
then travel back to Manila the next day...
there is no afternoon boat schedule from Caramoan to Sabang Port...

good morning God and Caramoan!
I thank You again for another one more year...
and for my family...
who always loves and guides me...

we say life is beautiful because we are beautiful...
beautiful heart that listens and a beautiful character
that loves!
and most of all a pair of beautiful eyes that appreciates :)
