Fortune Island

Welcome to Fortune Island

This was an invitational birthday travel.
Since I am a traveller and she is my so called friend.
I was obliged to attend.

We agreed to met in Taft Avenue Station of MRT in Mcdonald
around 4 am.
There is a Bus Station at the back of the Sogo Hotel that goes directly to Nasugbu, Batangas.
Manila to Nasugbu is about P170.
The travel time is 2 hours and a half.

We had our breakfast in Nasugbu.

We bought some supplies for our food.

There is no electricity and the network service is weak.

No hotel accommodation, no source of water supply and no food available in the island.

You have to bring everything you need.

We hired a trike to take us to the island resort, P20.
There is an island fee:
Overnight is P400
Day stay P300.

The outrigger boat was coordinated by one of my friends for P5,000.
It is good for 10-15 people capacity.
It will take about 30 minutes from the port to the island.

It may be a little bit expensive due to the entrance fee and boat rental.

The strong waves is too risky,

But, the scenery is all worth it.

The Fortune Island is 27 hectare that lies about 14 kilometres off the coast
of Nasugbu town in Batangas.

This island was long owned by Jose Antonio Leviste,
a former governor of Batangas Province.
Leviste opened the Fortune Island Resort Club on the island in 1995.

The beach resort was built along a 20 metre stretch of pristine white sand.
Several rest houses facing the water.

The beach has an acropolis with Grecian pillar at the edge of the island overlooking the sea.

But, that was long gone now.

Everything about this island is now a piece of memory from the past.

It was opened to public and the ruins became an attraction.

You can set up your tent anywhere.

We had a great evening with good food.

Then, slept in our thousand star accommodation.. our tent.

Wake up the next day with this sunrise.

Ah, this is life!

We had our photo session, beach bum and swimming.

We had our fresh bath in the boatman's house with a fee.

Then, catch the next bus bound to Manila.

Total expenses: P1,500.
Companion: 9
