Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Welcome to Malaysia

Malaysia is part of South East Asia, and of an organization ASEAN.
(The Association of Southeast Asia Nation)
Therefore,
traveling here for Filipinos like me is Visa Free for 30 days.
You may check our Philippine List of Visa Free Countries:

The capital city is Kuala Lumpur.
I was here the first time when I flew from Manila to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
There is no direct flight from Philippines to Sri Lanka.
We decided to connect in Kuala Lumpur.
I stayed here the first time for 12 hours.

Most flights arrive and depart now  in KLIA 2.
You may hire a taxi, take the train or take the bus going to the city.
Travel time is 1 hour.

The second time that I was here when we flew from Cochin, Kerala India.

We were here to watch the Formula 1: Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix

We tried to buy this online but our reservation was cancelled.
Some documents needed for international purchase that we fail to submit on time.
(We were busy partying in India that we less care) ♥
We had to buy tickets in Suria KLCC,
where Petronas Towers are located.
Tickets are even cheaper than online.
Not bad.

Typical city with its warm climate.
This is a diverse country of Islam, Buddhist and Christian communities.
Dress code varies:
you may wear typical short, sleeveless and flip flops for comfort.

The China Town.
The backpackers village.
It is near the train station, bus terminal and food stalls.

Next day, we opt to watch the F1.
Taking the train to the KL Central, the bus terminal of the racing.
He is Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes AMG.
Seeing him is an added bonus on our way to Sepang Circuit.

Sepang Circuit is located in suburbs of Malaysia.
It will take 45 minutes to 1 hours travel time.

This is a 3-activity.
We did not attend the first 2 days.
We just chill and relax.

The first set.

Not really that bad, yet.. with its screaming tires

The race itself is held on Sunday afternoon
with the exception of night races in Singapore.

Introducing the stars of F1.

The opening program of the racing proper.

Caution: there are 36 lapses on this championship round.
Get ready with your ears for 2 hours!

This was taken during the warm up session.
When the racing starts, you can't get even get a good shot of them.
With the loud screaming tires, and your screaming seat mates.

The champion: Sebastian Vettel and, his Ferrari.

This is one of those great experience to have. ♥
Some triumphant crowd who wants to get closer in the race track.
There are Korean Pop stars who had the concert
that night..
but it was hot and tiring with the strong rain coming.
We decided to go back to KL, after.

Airline tickets depends in your departure city and date of travel.
Food depends on your spending.
Water is a must since it is soooo hot here during this season.

We flew to Kota Kinabalu the next day... for another adventure.
