Where should I start?
Ah! It was a long weekend... and, we want some adventure.
My friends organized this travel.
We rented a van for this 4 days and 3 nights amazing travel.
We spent around P4,000, each.
If you are traveling solo, there are a lot of ways to get to this destination.
You can book your flight from Manila to Legazpi
through Cebu Pacific / Philippine Airlines.
or
You may take an overnight bus from Manila to Legazpi
Travel time is 12 hours.
There a lot of provincial buses in Ali Mall terminal in Cubao and along EDSA Cubao.
Fare is around P700 to P800.
Along the way, you can visit the Cagsawa Ruins in Daraga.
You can tell the bus driver to drop you off in Cagsawa.
You may ride the tricycle or walk.
I did walk... for about 15 minutes.
The view from Daraga Church.
From Cagsawa, you can ride the jeepney to Daraga Church.
You can just tell the jeepney driver where you are going, you'll never get lost.
If you do.. have fun!
Since it is a hill, you can walk from the street up to the church.
I did solo backpacking here back in 2012.
From Legazpi, you can take a van from Central Bus terminal to Donsol.
Travel time is 1 hour.
The fare is around P70 to P100.
Donsol is small fishing town.
There are a lot of home stay around the small town and beach resorts, too.
Room rates are ranging from P600 to P1500.
You may want to do some firefly watching while cruising the river.
This is an amazing experience.
There are available outrigger boats for P900, good for 15 capacity.
The next day,
we went to the Donsol Tourist Center for the registration.
This our much-awaited whale shark chasing.
Boat rental package is P3500, good for 5-7 passengers.
Registration fee is P100 for local and P300 for foreigner
You may rent equipment mask, snorkel and fins for P300
These whale sharks interaction can be done during their feeding season of January to May.
You may opt to see them in Oslob, Cebu all year round.
You are not allowed to touch them.
You may swim along and take photos.
After this, we packed our things and headed to our next destination:
The Paguriran Lagoon
From Donsol, you may continue to Sorsogon City.
There is a terminal near Petron with jeepneys going to Baranggay Sawanga
via Bacon town proper.
There is available accommodation in Bacon town proper.
If you prefer to spend the night here.
You may opt to stay in Paguriran Beach,
though there is no room accommodation, as of yet.
The view of the lagoon/ island from the beach.
There are available open cottages.
During the low tide, you can walk going to this island lagoon.
We did cliff jump.
After lunch, we continued our journey.
Some overload tricycle along the way.
#itsmorefuninthePhilippines
Next destination.. the Bulusan Crater Lake.
We stayed here for less an hour.
We continued our journey to Matnog.
Behind the scenes..
Everyone is busy getting the best shot as we are leaving the island of Luzon.
It will take more than 4-5 hours travel from Bulusan to Matnog.
We stayed in Subic Liit as there are no cottages in this side
so, we had the shore all by ourselves.
Set up our tent, prepare our dinner and celebrate our friend's birthday!
Cheers to Tarah ♥
Good morning, beautiful Sorsogon.
There is a water source from the artesian well.
We just brought our food and water.
There is no electricity and network coverage is weak.
The Subic Laki on the left and Subic Liit on the right.
There are cottages in Subic Laki.
We did some other islands seeing.
Swimming
Snorkeling
Until we are exhausted and decided to proceed to our next destination.
The Juag Marine Sanctuary
This is a dream- like destination.
It looks and feels like surreal.
Our navigator, boat guide and watchman.
Docking
There is no entrance fee, just donation.
Please don't wear your sun protect lotion as it will poison the fishes.
The pathway
The connecting view.
The viewpoint, waiting area as well as chill place.
The fishes
You can feed and swim with them.. or buy them.
Next destination: Tikling Island
The calm and serene front beach..
that has no cottage and network coverage.
with the roaring and angry back beach.
All is well that ends well..
I would like to say thank you to my brave and loving friends ♥
It was never boring!
For the non stop photography and selfies
For the fun and happiness ♥
I miss you all ♥
